Fotodos in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is organizing a photography exhibition entitled «Children Refugees in Cyprus are taking Photos of their Lives». The exhibition consists of photos taken by children refugees living in Cyprus since their families have been displaced by the war or persecutions. All photographs have been taken during a photography workshop which was given by photographers of Fotodos. In this workshop, eleven children aged 10 to 16 years old have been participated. The whole activity is funded by the Cultural Services of Ministry of Education and Culture.
This activity aims at informing and raising awareness about the refugee problem. Through photography, young refugees have been given the chance to enlight their world and share it with the public.
The exhibited photographs will be available for sale. The collected money will be given for getting further cameras so that the workshop will continue next year, as well as for publishing a "2017 calendar" featuring the best photos of each child.
